INDEPENDENT AMERICAN PARTY NEWS
Will Christensen
Dec. 1, 2005
There have been some very positive developments in Washington recently. Chief among these
are:
1. The Border Protection, Anti terrorism, and Illegal Immigration Control Act of 2005 (H.R. 4437)
passed the house 239 to 182. This appears to be the strongest immigration enforcement bill
ever, with passages that would end the visa lottery, mandate federal cooperation with state and
local officials, and construct extensive border fences.
2. The Senate filibuster of the renewal of the USA Patriot Act H. R. 3199. It is very difficult to
determine what will happen or what is happening in the Senate, but we are cautiously optimistic
about the demise of this act with so many provisions dangerous to basic Bill of Rights
Freedoms. I called Washington and was told the Senate may be in session until Friday. Ask your
Senators to vote against this bill. 1-202-225-3121
3. The Bush Administration has backtracked on plans to push for Congressional approval for the
FTAA (Free Trade Area of the Americas). The plan now appears to be that the FTAA will be
enacted piecemeal, which will increase our opportunity to alert our fellow citizens and Congress
to the dangers.
With these and other favorable developments occurring, we still have to be on our guard. The
Federal Reserve Act and other bills detrimental to our Freedom were pushed through a hurried
Congress just before Christmas recess, usually with very few members of Congress in
attendance. Thank your Senators and Representative for their pro-Freedom votes, and ask
them why they voted against Freedom if they did. Let them know you are watching and that
Freedom is important to you and to their re-election prospects.
To paraphrase Mark Twain, "No one is safe when Congress is in session." Congress will
adjourn this week for the Christmas Holiday. Let's hope they have no more surprises for us on
the last day.
Our plans for next year include the development and sponsorship of bills to:
1. Rescind NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement), CAFTA (Central American Free
Trade Agreement), and the WTO (World Trade Organization).
2. Dismiss several rogue judges in the 9th District Court in San Francisco.
3. Limit the appellate jurisdiction of the Supreme Court concerning prayer in public buildings and
religion in general. Please click on this link.

4. Have Executive Orders apply only to Executive Branch Organizations.
There are other issues in the works, we will tell you about them as they develop . Our final Prayer
Alert of the year will be posted between Christmas and New Years. Until then, have a happy and
joyous Christmas Holiday, and please remember to pray for the Freedom of the United States of
America.
