TROY ANNOUCES FOR LT. GOV.
Troy Maulden
Wasilla, AK
Jan. 4, 2006
A lieutenant governor of Alaska must have a vision and the courage to act on it. The lieutenant governor should be more actively involved with the state and the issues we are facing. As a independent republican I will put Alaskan’s first. Alaska is a place of hope, and opportunity, and vitality. Do you share my vision for our state? I thought so. That’s why I’m respectfully asking for your support. In my first term as your lieutenant governor, I will work hard to restore hope to Alaskans. As a conservative I will press hard for Alaska’s next Governor’ with initiatives to create jobs, to clean our lakes and rivers, to work to offer every Alaskan access to affordable health care, not to touch the permanent fund without a vote of the people, to ensure a bright future for Alaskas private sector, to protect private property rights, to protect hunting, fishing and gun rights, to stem the epidemic of illegal drugs in Alaska, to stem Alaska’s ranking of number one in the nation of fo rceable rape against women and sexual assault of children under the age of 15. To provide a good education to all of our children — all the while, keeping a lid on taxes. I will ensure that Alaskan’s are protected from the many new threats present in today’s complex world. As the Governor’s point person I will make renewable energy a priority, I will work to balance innovation with Alaska’s need for the All Alaska Gas Line and responsible, reliable and economical energy, at home and at work, in our schools, our hospitals, in our private sector. Everyone says I will reinvent the job of lieutenant governor. It’s a big job. It’s an important job. And there’s so much good work left to do. Alaska is a great place to live, work and raise a family. Together, we can make it better.
