CRAZED FEMINIST SEEKS TO OUTLAW MOTHERHOOD

Frederick Meekins
Aug. 10, 2004

Did you have a devoted mother who dedicated her life to caring for you during your formative years? If so, she might be a subversive less worthy of sympathy than Osama Bin Ladin in certain radical circles.

According to WorldNetDaily.com, Gretchen Ritter of the Center for Women and Gender Studies at the University of Texas believes stay-at-home mothers are actually a threat to society. This is because, among other things, motherhood cuts into the time women have for activism (idol hands being the devil’s workshop and all) and it causes children to realize gender differences exist between the sexes (something obvious to everyone but college professors apparently).

In pursuit of this goal, this credentialed nutcase believes laws should be passed outlawing fulltime motherhood. While such proposals to abolish marriage and family since at least the time of Bertrand Russell have been couched in terms of liberation, their goal has always been to undermine the bonds between parent and child in favor of the totalitarian superstate.

By limiting the time junior spends with mommy, social engineers will be able to warp his little mind in their own warped image. The hope to ensure that the community is his only loyalty.

The hyperpious smugly intone they have loftier spiritual matters to attend to than the mundane concerns of culture and politics. I wonder if their attitude will remain the same the day the New World Order comes knocking at the door to take their most precious concerns away never to return.
