Dear Friends,
Good News! HB 579, the bill to require judges to warn persons before their courts about possible lifetime firearm ownership disability, resulting from guilt plea to or conviction of misdemeanor crimes, or from restraining orders in divorce proceedings, was passed unanimously by the House Judiciary Committee this morning, shortly after the public hearing on the bill.
The bill will now go before the full House on Second Reading, within the next day or two.
So, please, contact your Representative and ask him or her to support HB 579.
