The Media Research Center of Alaska is committed to identifying, reviewing, and reporting bias in the news media that violates journalism's code of ethics, as it pertains to media in Alaska. MRCA also educates its members and the general public in media ethics so that each person can become a critical thinker/evaluator of the news.
The Media Research Center of Alaska (MRCA) is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit research and education organization. MRCA does not endorse or oppose any political candidate or legislative matter.
The MRCA was formed in 1999, with the mission to offer a forum for mediating between the various sides of an issue when reviewing news in Alaska media and asking critical questions to enhance truth in reporting. It is not the intent of MRCA to position itself as a "conservative" or "liberal" organization. Our goal is to approach media content from a scholarly perspective, measuring it against ethical standards espoused by the press.
As a result of being a nonprofit, dedicated to public service activities, we require funding to continue operations and pursue our mission. We need YOU for ongoing funding.
If your passion is for REAL news that is truthful, please contribute to this cause.
