Hello Fellow Voters,

We are happy to announce the Alaska Voters Organization has been recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit foundation. As such, your donations, bequests, legacies, transfers, or gifts to Alaska Voters may be deductible for Federal estate and gift tax purposes. Contributions to Alaska Voters are deductible by donors retroactive to March 7, 2002. Please notify our office at 776-8008 if you have any questions.

Governor-elect Murkowski has formed a series of statewide public meetings to gather input from citizens on six topics he considers important. These topics include: natural resources, education, transportation, human resources, revenue, and public safety. The public will also have an opportunity to present other topics for consideration. Click here for the most current official meeting schedule provided by the Murkowski transition team. There is also a link on this page where you can email comments. If possible, everyone should participate in this process. More importantly, we need to make sure that public comments are accurately reported when the results are finally presented to Governor-elect Murkowski.

We have added a weekly online poll question to our website home page. Go there now and let us know how you feel about the current issues. If you have suggestions for future survey questions, feel free to email them to us. Look for additional changes on the website as we gear up for the 23rd legislature.
