I wanted to be among the first to congratulate you on your efforts to enlighten the public on the Anchorage Assembly's proposed "Land Clearing by Permit" ordinance & the subsequent overwhelming turnout against it at tonite's public hearing. After 3 hours of testimony, almost all against the intrusive ordinance, & some little debate as to how "to back out of it but work on it" or "to can it", the Assembly voted to Postpone the ordinance Indefinitely. This is a clear victory for us private property rights advocates, but the war is not yet won, as the Assembly may yet re-introduce a watered-down version within the next 3 months. Hopefully they will not, but as one of our Founding Fathers wrote:

"Eternal vigilance is the price of Liberty." ---Thomas Jefferson.

Again, congratulations on your efforts, as many of us listened to you in the mornings with your radio program on this issue, when, as you so astutely mentioned, no other media outlet would touch this. You may use this email in the morning on your program if you wish.
