FARMERS
RAISE THEIR PITCHFORKS FOR PAT AT FIFTEENTH ANNUAL "FARM AID"
BENEFIT CONCERT
While
the "Republicrat" Presidential candidates were no shows at Sunday's
15th annual Farm Aid benefit concert, Pat Buchanan came with specific
proposals for supporting American family farmers.
Mr.
Buchanan emphasized how the bipartisan sell-out on NAFTA, GATT,
and PNTR with China, was hurting American farmers. The Reform
Party nominee pledged to put our farmers’ interests ahead of transnational
corporations and foreign regimes. If elected, he promised to cut
off imports of commodities whenever their price may fall below
the cost of production; and challenged the Justice Department,
who rationalizes the break-up of an American corporation like
Microsoft, to instead focus its aggression on transnational corporations
that are destroying the family farm.
